Essential Baking Pans
These are all the pans I consider "must have". If you have one of each, you will have pretty much all your baking needs covered!
8 or 9" Cake Pans
Most cake recipes use an 8 to 9" cake pan. You can usually use these sizes interchangeably, and I recommend having at least 2 on hand so you can bake layered cakes. (P.S. Home Goods often has these pans for cheaper!)
6" Cake Pans
The other most common size used for cakes is 6"! This is great for both smaller cakes, and taller cakes with more layers. This is a great value set as you can get 4 pans under $20.
Cookie Sheet
I have 2 of these sheets and they are a must have! They can be used to make cookies, sheet cakes, and macarons, and are also great to place under wire racks if you're ever pouring ganache over cake
Springform Pan
This springform pan is what I use to make my cheesecake! I've found it to be quite leak-proof, although I still recommend covering the base with foil.
Brownie Pan
I recommend always baking brownies in a metal pan for the best result! These work wonderfully, and come with lids to then store your brownies in.
Tart / quiche Pan
This makes beautiful tarts without needing to crimp the edges yourself!
9x13 pan
This is another pan I use very frequently. It is a great size to make sheet cakes, or double batch brownies!
Baking Tools
Parchment Paper
Let's face it - rolled up parchment paper is a pain to deal with! Instead, I recommend buying precut sheets. These fit perfectly in cookie sheets, and are much easier to cut and fold.
Piping Bags
You need to have piping bags in your baking toolkit, and I cannot recommend these enough! You get a 100 high quality, sturdy bags under $15, and they will last you a very long time.
Piping Tips
This is a great starter set which will come in handy for decorating cakes, cupcakes and desserts. These tips are on the larger side, though (which I prefer)
Ice Cream Scoop
The easiest way to scoop up cookies 😉
Cream Horn Molds
Not necessarily a must have, but this is what I use to make cream horns!
Cake Decorating Supplies
This is a great value set which includes a turn table, 2 offset spatulas, and cake scrapers - all the basics you need for cake decoration!
Baking Ingredients & Supplies
Valrhona Dark Chocolate
Probably my most asked question! I get this massive bag of chocolate from Amazon and it lasts me a while. It's incredible quality and flavor, and I use it for everything.
Valrhona Milk Chocolate
Same as the dark chocolate 😉 But this also comes in handy for late night snacking as it is yummy.
Dutch Processed Cocoa Powder
I buy this set of 2 cocoa powders from Amazon. This cocoa powder is a game changer for brownies! It tastes so much more chocolatey.
Active Dry Yeast
Instead of buying the small, annoying sachets of yeast, I get this large bag from Amazon and keep my yeast in the fridge in an airtight jar. It keeps for months, and is much more economical.
Serveware
Serving Cups
I used these cute square cups to serve my tiramisu, and got SOOO many questions on them! So here you go.
Serving glasses
These are perfect for individually served desserts!
Glass mugs
In case you wanna be *that girl*
Kitchen Appliances
KitchenAid Stand Mixer
I know, I know, so expensive! But it is so worth it. My most used appliance, and the best gift I've ever received (thank you, husband).
Nutribullet Blender
My second most used appliance! I love how compact and versatile it is, and have never felt the need to purchase a full sized blender.
Toaster
I know this doesn't have anything to do with baking, but I love this toaster!
Kitchen Organization
Baking Ingredients Storage
I've had this ProKeeper set for years and it is perfectly made to store all baking pantry essentials!
Extra Large Containers
These are the containers I store my massive supply of Valrhona chocolate in! They are perfect.
Spice Jars
I am in love with these bamboo spice jars! They are the perfect size, and easier to use than shakers for me, as I measure my spices with small spoons
Pantry Labels
This is the label set I use for all my pantry containers! I love the clean, modern vibe.
Blogging Equipment
Photography backdrop
I've tried many different brands, and these are the best quality AND price!
Phone stand
This is a bit pricey, but worth every $$ in my opinion. You can use various angles and get the perfect overhead shots
Artificial light
Artificial lighting can be pricey, but was a gamechanger for my content quality and schedule flexibility. This is a high power continuous LED light which mimics natural light
Light stand
You need this to mount the artificial light
Softbox option 1
A large softbox like this helps diffuse light in a very natural way
Softbox option 2
While this one is a bit smaller, it can mimic a large video near your shooting surface
Tripod
This is the best tripod I have found for myself! It has a wide base which means it is completely stable and does not wobble.
