Description
Two delicious chocolate mug cakes topped with chocolate covered strawberries made in just ten minutes, making them the perfect date night dessert!
Ingredients
Cakes:
- 6 tbsp whole milk
- 10 chocolate cream cookies (e.g., Back To Nature, Oreo)
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Topping:
- 1/2 cup chopped milk chocolate
- Vegetable oil as needed
- 6 strawberries, roughly chopped
Instructions
- Add the milk and cookies to a bowl, and use a fork to crush the cookies until there are no big chunks remaining
- Add the oil, vanilla and sugar and whisk to combine
- Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt, and whisk until just combined
- Divide the batter evenly between 2 microwave safe mugs (10-12oz)
- Microwave the mugs one by one for 60-90s until the cakes are done
- In the meanwhile, melt the chocolate over a double boiler (or in the microwave but heat in only 10 second increments and slowly stir between each until melted). Add vegetable oil as needed to make the chocolate runny / pourable
- Once the cakes are done, cover them with the chopped strawberries and pour over the melted chocolate. I like to eat them warm, but you can also let them cool down a bit before adding the toppings
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
